For the second year, Angel On A Leash hosted a young scholar from the Lang Youth Medical Program at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian.
Ar;lyn Gonzalez, 15, a 10th grade student this fall at the City College Academy of the Arts in Washington Heights in New York City, observed Angel's therapy dog teams at work at MSCHONY and in other locations this summer.
The Lang Youth Medical Program is a six-year science education and mentoring program for middle school students that puts (Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian's) educational resources to work for young people in Washington Heights. (The program provides) experiences and an environment that support and improve the social, personal and academic development of the Lang Scholars during their six-year enrollment, while at the same time creating new connections between the Hospital and community through the young people in the program.
