We would like to thank the wonderful students at Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA), a co-ed Service Fraternity at Virginia Tech, for choosing Angel On A Leash as its pledge class project for Spring 2009. The class raised $500 through social activities, bake sales, a pizza sale and other outreach.
Heather Terry, Senior Pledge Class Trainer, was in charge of identifying project opportunities for the pledge class. “I was watching Westminster and saw the story about Angel On A Leash and cried when I saw the amazing work you do,” Heather wrote in a note that accompanied the pledges’ check. “As soon as I saw the show I took the idea back to the pledges and they LOVED it. A lot of us were at Virginia Tech when the shooting happened. We all remember the therapy dogs that came to our campus and how much it helped to see a loving dog when feeling pain. It’s amazing how much animals can help.”
The Epsilon Sigma Alpha pledge class members are: Ryan Berg, Patrick Bradner, Marlon Guinto, Haythem Hedda, Nicole Henry, Kaitlyn Loh, Kevin Parker, and Isabella Ton. Joining Senior Pledge Class Trainer, Heather Terry were Junior Pledge Trainer, Lesley Snyder and ESA Vice President, Amy Zucaro.
Angel On A Leash is proud to welcome this new generation of supporters as Silver Halo Sponsors.
